South Texas Disaster Relief

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. With support from generous donors, the Red Cross is able to provide comfort, care and hope to those in need. 

• The Red Cross responds to nearly 60,000 disasters every year
• 95% of the Red Cross relief workers are volunteers
• The Red Cross provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from generous volunteer donors
