Please join us in support of the American Red Cross Sickle Cell Initiative. A gift will help the American Red Cross inspire and engage blood donors who are Black and African American and conduct in-depth testing, typing and matching—above and beyond the standard infectious disease testing—of blood products for people living with sickle cell disease.

As the single largest blood supplier in the country, the American Red Cross provides blood for patients with sickle cell disease every day, but there is a gap to provide of the most compatible unit of blood for patients with sickle cell disease.
