Disasters are impacting communities across the country. The Red Cross is delivering critical aid to those in need after Hurricane Ian's catastrophic impact in Florida, providing support in Puerto Rico to help recover from Hurricane Fiona, supporting ongoing relief efforts in Alaska from the damage of Typhoon Merbok, and helping those in the Western U.S. where wildfires continue to burn. In fact, the Red Cross responds to 60,000 disasters a year and the vast majority of these are home fires. For disasters big and small, our volunteers provide comfort during what can be the worst days of people's lives.
