Central & Eastern Oregon Ford Transit Connect CampaignDonate To This Campaign
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and the American Red Cross provides about 40% of the nation’s supply. Our blood services Community Emergency Vehicles are critical to this mission.
We replace approximately 370 blood services vehicles every year to make sure everyone gets the lifesaving blood they need. In our Central & Eastern Oregon Chapter, we need to purchase a new Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van for our blood fleet at a cost of $30,000.
The Community Emergency Vehicle will transport blood from processing, testing and, storage centers and deliver it to patients in need at hospitals and cancer treatment centers in our Chapter.
The Community Emergency Vehicle will also provide emergency delivery of rare blood and urgent blood to hospitals experiencing a shortage.
This fundraising effort is led solely by the Board Members from the Central & Eastern Oregon Chapter. Please support us in our effort to purchase this vehicle for the ongoing blood collection efforts in our communities across Central and Eastern Oregon.
This short video highlights the importance of our vehicles in fulfilling the Red Cross mission, as well as our current need.
