Community Emergency Vehicle for SW Oregon

Donate To This Campaign

Thank you to Asante for matching all gifts up to $15,000!

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and the American Red Cross provides about 40% of the nation’s supply. Our blood services Community Emergency Vehicles are critical to this mission.

We replace approximately 370 blood services vehicles every year to make sure everyone gets the lifesaving blood they need. In our Southern Oregon Chapter, we need to purchase a new Ford Transit Connect vehicle for our blood fleet at a cost of $30,000.

  • The Community Emergency Vehicle will transport blood from processing, testing and, storage centers and deliver it to patients in need at hospitals and cancer treatment centers in our Southern Oregon Chapter.
  • The Community Emergency Vehicle will also provide emergency delivery of rare blood and urgent blood to hospitals experiencing a shortage.

This fundraising effort is led solely by the Board Members from the Southwest Oregon Chapter.  Please support us in our effort to purchase this vehicle for the ongoing blood collection efforts in our communities across Southwest Oregon.

Any funds raised over our $35,500 target will go towards the Cascades Region Blood Fleet program.
