Water Safety - Where It's Needed Most

Donate To This Campaign

Earlier this year, the Red Cross of Massachusetts gave one of its highest honors to four lifeguards who sprang into lifesaving action at Mayflower Beach in Dennis when they spotted two young girls drowning. It was their lifeguard training that prevented tragedy, and water safety has been a key part of the Red Cross mission for more than a century. Every day, the Red Cross makes communities safer by teaching health and safety courses to more than 14,000 people.

In Massachusetts alone last year , we trained 106,908 people in first aid, CPR and AED skills between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023; in that same time period, we trained 22,673 people in water safety skills including lifeguarding.

The Red Cross relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to support this lifesaving work. As we enter the beach and pool season, please consider making a donation to the American Red Cross. Your funds will support Where It’s Needed Most, which gives us the flexibility to respond whenever and wherever we are needed.
